YEAR 3,5,7 TESTING: This coming Tuesday and Wednesday are the

With high degrees of illness prevalent at the moment it is possible some students may be ill on these days. If this is the case the test may be administered later in the week, however all testing must be completed by next Friday.
THANKS VOLUNTEERS: Once again this week we have many volunteers to thank for assisting us. These include those who worked at the P & C footy bars, the mums who sorted and distributed the pie drive orders, those who supervised and provided transport to the Mackay District Sports Carnival and the on going efforts of everyone in the costuming, props and dancing “department” of the Rock Pop Mime. Thank you for sharing your valuable time for the benefit of our children.

Hello Everyone
We have been very busy ‘online’ this week. We googled ‘Wombats’ and found out all about them. We also began our PowerPoint ‘Doubles’ presentation with our 6/7 Computer Buddies and prepared for our Book Rap points 1 and 2. We have to choose our favourite Australian animal and explain why. Indications are our favourite Australian animal is the dingo – because it howls!
We have been investigating procedural texts – recipes, experiments, and instructions and next week we begin our presentations to the class.
ROCK POP MIME
Our timetable is filling up quickly for the last weeks of preparation. Next week we hope to visit the Caneland Sound Shell for an onstage practice. On Sunday we will have a Sausage Sizzle luncheon as a culmination to all our hard work. On Monday 27th August and Friday 31st we will present our performance on Parade. Then it’s the real thing!
